This year we are hosting 2 climbing sessions at the Hardrock city gym and one climbing session at the Hardrock Nunawading gym to have more variety in our climbing options. Both these gyms are easy to access by public transport. After our climbs, we will head to the pub for some friendly drinks and dinner.

This year, Les Rock will sponsor some of the entrance cost to make it more accessible to all. There will be a unique price of $15 pp at the door, or $17 if you book online to secure your place. This will include harness and shoe hire. (Normal Hardrock entrance price is $30). Places will be limited to 20 per session. Finally, QSAM is also organising a sport day event during Midsumma, where Les Rock will take part of it by organising a Bouldering session at the Bunley tunnel bouldering walls. See details below for our schedule, please contact us for some info at les.rock@yahoo.com.au

Climbing/Bouldering so bring your gear and your tent and pray for a nice sunny weather:-)

For climbing – all should bring own harness, shoes, belaying device and helmet.

We will have some spare rope and gear to set up as well as bouldering mat.

After climbing on Wednesday night, we will go to the night market for a bite, and on Monday nights at Miss Libertine.

After some discussion and feedback, this year we decided to climb every Monday nights, alternating Climbing and Bouldering. This means that it’s easier to remember and that you can do something else every other nights. In addition, if people are interested in climbing extra nights either Thursdays or Fridays for example – just use the forum or facebook to discuss and invite people.

What a great year of climbing we had with some wonderful weekends away!! Really looking forward to some more next year:-)

In 2010, we will start climbing with 2 Midsumma events on Tuesday 19Jan and Tuesday 2 Feb at Hardrock gym in the city. So really hope to see many old and new faces there!

Our Grampians accomodation has now been booked for the Melb cup weekend (30Oct – 2Nov) ….:-) This will be another fun weekend!

Therefore, if you want to come and do some outdoor climbing in the Grampians/Arapiles or go for walks, bike rides and just have fun with us – please e-mail me your interest! The booked accomodation is for 16 people.

In addition, Les Rock is also organising more outdoor climbing day trips around Melbourne on the weekend.
