Dear Les Rockers!

Our Grampians accomodation has now been booked for the Melb cup weekend (30Oct – 2Nov) ….:-) This will be another fun weekend!

Therefore, if you want to come and do some outdoor climbing in the Grampians/Arapiles or go for walks, bike rides and just have fun with us – please e-mail me your interest! The booked accomodation is for 16 people.

In addition, Les Rock is also organising more outdoor climbing day trips around Melbourne on the weekend.

Therefore, if you are a keen climber and would like to do some outdoor climbing with a friendly group of lesbian and their friends – send us an email as well

With spring at our doorstep, looking forward to more outdoor climbing adventures!

New Activities – Bouldering and outdoor climbing

Dear all,

As requested by members we have now introduced some bouldering activities. Bouldering is to climbing what sprint is to running – it is more intense than normal climbing with short technical move to solve. No harness is required as we only climb 2-4m high. Thick mattresses are on the ground to minimise the impact of the falls.

We have recently been bouldering at the Lactic Factory in Abbotsford – a very friendly funky gym with great staff and music!

We are also in the process of organising outdoor climbing in the Grampians/Arapiles around April.

So stay tuned for the updates on dates/activities by joining our mailing list…

In the non rock climbing activities, we are also organising some kayaking on Sun 8th Feb at Fairfield boat house!

Dear all,

Thanks for coming at our Xmas dinner at the Thai restaurant and Tuff Muff – it was really fun – we had a ball!

From now on we will be organising some social nights every 2 or 3 months - so watch out for the next dinner…

During our Xmas dinner we made the decision to change our Monday nights to Tuesday nights…So please have a look at the new Calendar for 2009!

Our last session of the year is next Monday 22nd – if you are around come and join us!

Xmas parties have already started and keeping us quite busy…this is that time of the year I guess…

We thought it will be great to organise our Les Rock Xmas dinner too!

It will be a great occasion to see everyone and meet the people on our mailing list who have expressed interest but haven’t had the chance to come yet!

I have finally managed to do the 19 on the corner to the top! Hooray:-)

Last session was a good one – looking forward to the next one next week! Make sure you come as we will also be heading to the pub afterwards;-)

Next Monday our social lesbian rock climbing group is on again! So make sure you tick off the night in your calendar:-)
We will meet at 6.30pm at the desk of Hardrock gym.
Session will run for 2Hours or less depending on how you feel on the night!
At 8.30pm we will stop and head to the pub for some drinks…
Our group is growing slowly but surely so it’s great news.

Welcome ladies to our Les Rock page!
This is a very simple blog with basic information regarding our social lesbian rock climbing group based in melbourne – with time we are hoping to expand and upgrade a bit the site!
In terms of the “marketing” activities, we are about to advertise in Bnews and/or LOTL – so check out soon for the community listing!
